Hi, I'm Mary.
Doula, photographer, and graphic designer are just a few of my titles. Wisconsin born and raised, I live in my hometown of Richland Center in Southwest Wisconsin with my husband and three kids and serve the surrounding areas of about a 60-mile radius from my home.
My faith, my family, and my art are my passions. You can find me exploring the creek in our backyard with my children, reading a book in a quiet corner with a cup of coffee or tea, fishing or deer-hunting with my husband, or with a pencil, paintbrush, or camera in-hand: creating.
Marriage and motherhood have further proven to me what I have always known: that every moment carries its own importance. Whatever stage of life you're in and whatever big, or small, moment you're experiencing, I would be honored to capture all the little details for you or walk with you through them.

Birth work has become my calling.
Before having my first daughter in 2018, I had very little experience with pregnancy, birth, and babies. Having her was a transformative experience that rocked me to my core and opened my eyes and heart to a whole new world. I knew after having her that I wanted to be involved in birth and serving women and families through it, but I wasn’t sure how.
In the fall of 2019, I went back to school full-time at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College for Graphic and Web Design and while I was there, I took a digital photography class. My love for photography grew as did my skills and I decided to begin freelancing. When I started my photography business in 2020, just a few months after my second baby, our son, was born, I had the goal of becoming a lifestyle family photographer with a special focus on birth and newborn photography. My first professional photography session was a newborn session for my sweet nephew, and since then, I have photographed many events, families, newborns, and now births, too.
Then, a doula was born.
In May of 2021, I graduated from Southwest Tech and in August, my third baby, another girl, was born peacefully at home under the loving watch of some amazing midwives. In October, I was feeling the urge to dive deeper into birth work. I decided it was time to begin my doula journey. I brought my then 2-month-old daughter with me to a 3-day intensive doula training workshop through Doulaing the Doula in Madison and became a trained doula.
Since having begun to establish myself as a birth worker and attending births as a doula, I am more passionate than ever about walking with women and their families through birth. It is my great honor and privilege to provide support in such a vulnerable, transformative, and beautiful time. It would be my pleasure to get to know you and to support you during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
